Entrepreneurship Fund
VU BS Entrepreneurship Promotion Fund
The Entrepreneurship Promotion Fund operates through open calls for applications. VU Business School will periodically announce calls during which community members can submit applications for support to participate in international entrepreneurship events. The application process is simple and straightforward — you will need to complete a form and describe your idea and participation goals.
For each call, we will select the most motivated, creative, and high-potential applications, which will receive financial support for implementation. This can be a great opportunity to secure funding for meetings with foreign investors, experts, or presenting your startup abroad, as well as support for prototype development, product refinement, or market research.
The fund offers more than just financial support — it provides a community of encouragement. VU Business School aims to create an environment where participants feel confident sharing their ideas and growing together. Funded projects may also benefit from the school’s mentorship network or expert guidance (when available), helping to develop and advance their ideas. In this way, the Entrepreneurship Promotion Fund contributes to fostering an entrepreneurial culture at the university — encouraging initiative, experimentation, innovation, and learning from experience.
Stay updated! Information about call dates and application requirements will be posted on VU Business School channels. Don’t miss your chance — your idea could be the next to receive support from the Fund.

Business Challenges: When Student Ideas Solve Real-World Problems
At Vilnius University Business School, students are making a real impact — already during their studies. What’s it all about? VU BS students learn by tackling real business challenges every day. Companies, organizations, and public sector institutions share their current challenges, and students — guided by academic staff — take on the task of solving them.
This hands-on experience is integrated from the very first year of studies as part of our Challenge-Based Learning approach. Every semester, students work on new, real-world challenges submitted by our business partners, including Swedbank, Lithuanian Railways, Ignitis Group, Vilnius City Municipality, and many others.
These projects are not just academic exercises — they are creative, entrepreneurial, and data-driven responses to real business issues. The problem-solving process is supported by lecturers and, starting now, by Entrepreneurship Clinic mentors, who help students apply their knowledge in practice, explore new business directions, and better understand market logic.
